How many guests can I bring to my shopping appointment?
We want your appointment at CBB to be a memory-making experience. We have comfortable seating for up to 4 guests. Just let us know if you are bringing more than that and we will be happy to accommodate you. If you have 8 or more guests, we ask that you consider booking one of our Private VIP Appointments. Learn about the different appointment types here!
What sizes are your bridal gown samples? Do you carry plus size bridal gowns?
Our bridal gown samples range from size 8 to size 20, with the majority being between size 12 and size 16. Most of our gowns are orderable in sizes 0 to 34. If the sample gown is too small or too large, we clip the dress to fit your body.
When I find my dream dress, how does payment work? Do you have payment plans?
We take payment by credit card, check or cash. We try to be as flexible as possible. When you find your dream dress, you can pay in full or put down a deposit and set up an interest free, automatic payment plan. A valid credit card must be on file to create the payment plan. A 50% deposit is required before the dress can be ordered. If you shop in the recommended amount of time, 9-12 months before your wedding, we can offer you up to a six month payment plan and the gown will still arrive in plenty of time for alterations.
Is tipping your bridal consultant normal/expected?
Tipping your Bridal Consultant is never expected but always appreciated. Your tip, if you choose to do so, goes directly to your consultant for the service and experience they provided during your appointment.
When should I order my dress?
All our gowns are made-to-order and typically take 4 to 9 months to produce. When you account for shipping and alterations, the entire process can take up to 12 months. To ensure a stress-free experience, we recommend choosing your dress 9 to 12 months before your wedding date. This timeline allows plenty of time for fittings and accessorizing.
However, we have hundreds of gowns in stock, that can be purchased right out of the collection. AND…a few of our designers are pretty good about keeping a select group of styles in stock in their warehouses.
If you want to be sure that you can special order a design in your size, in the exact color you want and with any customizations you want, you really need to get your order in at least 9 months before your wedding date.
If you could be satisfied with a gown out of our collection, or one that has already been made with love and is waiting for you to choose her, then the lead time isn’t quite that long.
When should I choose my veil and other accessories?
Accessories are the finishing touch that completes your bridal look. During your gown appointment, our experienced stylists excel at bringing your vision to life by styling your entire ensemble. Many brides find that seeing everything come together helps them confidently say, “Yes, this is my dress!” Of course, you’re always welcome to return if you need more time to finalize your decision. Keep in mind that most accessories are also special order. While they typically take less time than a wedding gown, the process can still take several weeks to a few months.
Do you alter gowns that were not purchased at Catherine’s Bridal Boutique?
Yes we do! CBB customers get priority appointments with the seamstress, however we do take appointments for gowns that were not purchased at CBB, when time permits. Appointments are required to meet with the seamstress. You can book some appointment slots online or you can call for additional availability. We cannot schedule alterations appointments on Saturdays. Learn more about the tailoring process here!
